Why I'm building Better Host AI

I've spent fifteen years in sales. Every business I've worked in, the same thing was true: people who can sell at the moment a stranger is deciding whether to trust them are rare, and the businesses that figure out how to do that consistently win.

Short-term rental hosting is no different. The moment a guest sends an inquiry, the booking is being decided. Not by the property. Not by the price. By the reply.

I started looking at STR listings the way I would look at any sales conversation. I read titles, descriptions, photo orders, review patterns, and the replies hosts were sending to inquiries. The pattern that kept showing up wasn't that hosts were doing something obviously wrong. It was that they were too close to their own property to see what a guest sees in the first three seconds.

A title that blends in with twenty others within five miles. A hero photo that hides the property's best feature. A reply that treats a pricing objection like an interruption instead of an opportunity.

Most of this is fixable in an afternoon. But hosts can't fix what they can't see, and nobody is paid to tell them.

Better Host AI started as the answer to that. Emi reads your listing the way a guest reads it, drafts replies the way a host who sells for a living would draft them, and learns your voice over time so the replies actually sound like you.

I named her after my daughter. The goal was always to build something I'd be proud to put her name on.

I'm starting small. I do every setup personally right now. If you're an STR host who wants someone to actually look at your listing and tell you what you can't see, send me a message. The earliest hosts shape what this becomes.
